Yes. Multi-day self-supported raids (Haute Route, Écrins traverse, etc.) are covered. Make sure you carry a satellite phone or working device to reach AXEO Assistance when needed.

Q: Are avalanches covered?

Yes. Our cover handles avalanche claims : search, rescue, repatriation, medical expenses. Cover applies provided you respect official avalanche bulletins. Areas closed by administrative decision remain excluded.

Q: Am I covered for Pierra Menta or Patrouille des Glaciers?

Yes, with the Competition add-on. Major races (Pierra Menta, Patrouille des Glaciers, Trofeo Mezzalama, national championships, ISMF World Cup) are covered during the event and during preparatory training. For more details, see our Plans page.

Q: Are my transceiver, skins and probe insured?

Our personal accident insurance protects only the skier. Safety gear (transceiver, shovel, probe, skins, touring skis) can be added via the Baggage option up to €2,000 per claim. No liability is included.

Up to €50,000 per event. Avalanche search, helicopter rescue from a remote summit, mountain police intervention, evacuation from an unsecured couloir : high mountain rescue is expensive, we cover it.

Up to €150,000. Open tibia fracture on descent, frostbite, head trauma from a fall, knee surgery : backcountry practice demands heavy care that we cover.

The Competition add-on covers Pierra Menta, Patrouille des Glaciers, Trofeo Mezzalama, ISMF World Cup, national skimo championships and vertical races / sprints.

Multi-day raids and self-supported tours
