Seven stages, one rider, cover that lasts the week

icon Frais médicaux

Going down hard on loose rock: €150,000 of care

Pyrenean descents mix scree, roots and broken fire roads taken far too fast. One front wheel caught in a rut puts your wrist down first. Your medical costs are covered up to €150,000, including imaging, hospital admission and surgery.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Evacuation from a track with no road access

Between two stage villages, some sectors are only reachable on foot or by four-wheel drive. If a crash pins you out there, assistance covers evacuation and then repatriation at actual cost, all the way back to your own address.

icon Option compétition

Every stage is timed, so every stage is a race

Seven classified days, a cumulative time and a mass start every morning: the Transpyr is raced rather than ridden. The Competition option covers official competition, on this crossing and at the other marathons and stage races filling your mountain bike season.

icon Capital invalidité

Transpyr crossing, €200,000 if a crash leaves lasting disability

By day four, tired reflexes arrive late and a shoulder-first crash can leave permanently reduced movement. Where the accident results in permanent disability, a capital sum of up to €200,000 is paid so you can reorganise work and daily life.

Eight hundred kilometres and seven short nights

The risk in a stage race is not day one. It arrives on day four, when legs are empty, sleep has been thin and descents get ridden on autopilot. June storms soak the rock, tyres let go without warning, and any hesitation over a line ends on the ground, sometimes kilometres from the nearest road.

A crossing like this takes months to build towards and does not end at the finish. Long training days, weekend raids, other multi-day races: the crash risk sits across all of it. Our mountain biking insurance covers training and competition, at home and abroad, for the full season rather than one week.

FAQ

Rider questions about the seven-day crossing

Yes. It applies for the whole duration of the event, day after day, including transfers and the rest hours between stages rather than only while the clock is running.

Yes. The cover follows your riding, not your choice of bike. Technical singletrack and fast fire roads fall under the same bodily accident cover throughout the crossing.

Your cover continues for the period you bought, whether you finish or not. It does not refund your entry or your travel, however, because this is not cancellation insurance.

Assistance is reachable day and night and coordinates with local rescue services, then with evacuation to hospital. Your repatriation home is covered at actual cost once your condition allows it.

The price depends on the period you select and the options you add, including the Competition option that a classified stage race calls for. The online quote shows your figure first.
