A complete and tailored Rowing insurance

Rowing injury healthcare expenses

Up to €150,000. Wrist/shoulder tendinitis from repetitive effort (millions of oar strokes per season), disc-compression lumbago, rib fractures from seat friction, capsize cold-water hypothermia, boat-collision trauma: we cover rower-specific injuries.

Transport and repatriation

At actual cost. FISA World Championships, World Cups (Belgrade, Lucerne, Plovdiv, Varese), Olympic Games, Henley Royal Regatta UK, Thames Boat Race Oxford-Cambridge, Universiade Olympics: we organise medical repatriation from any country.

Rowing Competition option

The Rowing Competition add-on covers FISA World Championships, World Cup, Olympic Games, Henley Royal Regatta, Boat Race, FFA national championships and Senior, Junior (-19), U23, Master and Para-Rowing categories.

Disability benefit

Up to €200,000 per person. Competition rowing imposes maximal effort (max VO2 tests comparable to a marathon) over 2000 m (~7 min in the eight) with extreme lumbar stress. Chronic injuries (disc hernias, fatigue fractures) can invalidate a career. Essential cover for professional athletes and intensive amateurs.

Why is Rowing insurance essential?

Rowing is one of the most physically demanding Olympic sports, with a VO2max test comparable to a marathon or road cycling. FISA World Rowing organises World Championships and World Cups (Belgrade, Lucerne, Plovdiv, Varese). At the Olympics, events race over 2000 m in single sculls, pair, four and eight. The Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race on the Thames remains a cult event. Specific injuries are tendinitis, lumbago from disc compression and hypothermia in a capsize.

The rate depends on your practice and the desired cover duration. For a one-off regatta, the weekend plan suits; for a full season (FFA plus FISA plus Olympics/World Cups), the annual plan with the Rowing Competition add-on is best. Request your personalised quote.
