Why is Ninjutsu insurance essential?

Ninjutsu, passed down by the Bujinkan and Genbukan schools, blends throws, joint locks, strikes and traditional weapon handling. The variety of techniques, from ground work to swung weapons, exposes you to sprains, dislocations, bruises and fractures. A badly taken fall or a slipped weapon happens fast. Standard licences and contracts cover these accidents poorly, and treatment and rehabilitation costs pile up.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical costs, care, rehabilitation and disability are covered according to your plan, at the dojo as at international seminars. You can then progress with a free mind.

If you are injured during a class, a seminar or a demonstration, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical spending, call the assistance line shown on your card: its prior agreement is required before any hospitalisation, procedure, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow its instructions. Unless there is a life-threatening emergency, wait for its go-ahead before incurring costs; it directs you to the most suitable facility and arranges your care.

3. Keep every supporting document. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions and invoices are essential to process your claim.

Ninjutsu is a complete art blending unarmed techniques and weapons, while kobudo focuses specifically on Okinawan weapons. For that discipline, see our kobudo insurance.
