Wet roots, dead leaves and cover that does not slip

icon Frais médicaux

Wrist broken on a greasy root, €150,000 of care

Woodland singletrack here holds moisture until midday. Cross a wet root at the wrong angle, the front wheel goes, and the wrist takes the whole weight of the rider. Your medical costs are covered up to €150,000, from the first X-ray to hand surgery.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Carried out of the woods when no vehicle can reach you

Parts of the course sit deep in forest, reachable only on foot or by quad. If you cannot ride out, assistance and repatriation are covered at actual cost, from the forest track to the hospital and then on to your own front door.

icon Option compétition

Number plate, chip time, officially a competitor

Even on the middle distance you carry a plate and get an official time, which many insurers treat as racing and exclude. The Competition option covers your ride here and every other event you enter, cross country and marathon alike.

icon Capital invalidité

Lasting damage from one forest descent, up to €200,000

Descending fast between beech trunks leaves little room for error. A tree, a hidden stump, and a back or a knee can be marked for life. Should the accident lead to permanent disability, a capital sum of up to €200,000 helps you adapt home and work.

Where does the weekend rider come unstuck over 100 kilometres?

Five thousand starters, narrow forest tracks and a mass start: the opening kilometres are ridden wheel to wheel, and that is where most collisions happen. Later it is the duration that bites. On the long loop, concentration drops after four hours in the saddle, exactly when the descents turn slick with mud.

La Forestière fills one Sunday in September. The rest of the year you ride the same trails alone or in pairs, often far from a road and sometimes in failing light. Annual mountain bike insurance covers those ordinary outings too, the ones where nobody is waiting at a finish line.

FAQ

Entrant questions about La Forestière

Yes. Cover does not depend on the distance you pick. Whether you ride the short introduction loop or the long course, the same protection applies if you are injured.

Assistance sends the right means for the terrain, including a stretcher carry or an all terrain vehicle to get you out of the trees, then your transfer to hospital and your trip home, at actual cost.

No. This is individual accident insurance, not cancellation cover. It responds to the bodily consequences of an accident, not to your entry fee or the cost of getting to the start.

Yes. The policy follows the rider rather than the bike, so road and mountain bike both count. You stay covered across both weekend formats and on your training rides.

It depends on how long you want to be covered, your level of riding and whether the Competition option is added. The online quote shows the exact price before you commit to anything.
