Why is Kun Khmer insurance essential?

Kun Khmer, or pradal serey, is one of the most demanding contact sports: elbow and knee strikes, clinch work, explosive moves. Even in recreational practice, a cut eyebrow, a sprain or a cracked rib can happen quickly. Yet a federation licence or a gym membership does not always cover the real costs, especially in case of surgery or a long rehabilitation.

A personal accident insurance takes over: it complements your licence, reimburses the expenses left at your charge and follows you in England as abroad, in training and in the ring. You can keep progressing, chaining rounds and living your passion with a free mind, knowing the unexpected is covered.

Both disciplines use the 8 weapons. Kun Khmer, or pradal serey, is the Cambodian version: elbows play a bigger role and fights run over 5 three-minute rounds. For official fights, add the competition option. Discover our plans.

No, it complements your licence. A federation licence is still required to train in affiliated clubs and enter official competitions. Our cover strengthens your protection with higher limits on medical expenses, repatriation and disability.

Our insurance covers the fighter, not the gear. Liability is not included either: it falls under your licence or home insurance. For your gloves and equipment when travelling, the baggage option can complete your cover.

If you are injured during training, sparring or a fight, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
