Why insure your highline practice?

Highlining is practised at height between two anchor points, on a webbing stretched over a void. A fall, even caught by the leash, causes a violent jolt that can lead to a sprain or lower back bruising. Setting up the anchor system and handling gear at height also expose practitioners to free-fall risks in case of error. Standard club membership and general contracts cover these accidents poorly, and medical costs add up fast...

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical costs, transport, rehabilitation and disability are covered according to your plan, on the cliff as in competition. You can then cross the line with a free mind.

Please note: this cover applies to highlining practised while attached to the life line, in line with our general terms.

In case of injury while highlining, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
