Why insure your hand to hand practice?

Hand to hand rests the flyer's whole weight on the porter's arms: one-arm balances, dynamic throws and catches where a single slip means a fall from two metres. Standard contracts cover these accidents poorly, for the porter as for the flyer, and care costs add up quickly over a season of creation.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical expenses, transport, rehabilitation and disability are covered according to your guarantees, in studio training as on stage. Your duo can then work every figure with a free mind.

Yes, the guarantee applies to both roles. The porter, who absorbs load and impact, and the flyer, who risks the fall, share the same ceilings. We advise adapting the disability capital to the difficulty of the figures you build.

Yes, cover applies when you travel abroad for a show, a festival or a competition. On-site medical costs are handled and medical repatriation is arranged whenever your condition calls for it.

Yes. A wrist or shoulder injury caused by a hand to hand accident is covered, including imaging, any surgery and rehabilitation. Because porters load these joints so heavily, we advise a disability capital that reflects it.

No. The cover is open to licensed acrobats and to circus and leisure practitioners alike. In a club, a circus school or a private studio, your personal accident insurance for hand to hand follows you across every rehearsal and show.

If you are injured during hand to hand training or a show, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
