What does your cover do across the Triath'LAM swim, bike and run?

icon Frais médicaux

Road rash and broken collarbones on wet tarmac

Tropical showers leave the Lamentin roads greasy long after the rain stops. A front wheel slides in a bend and a shoulder takes the impact. Your medical costs are covered up to €150,000, including emergency care, surgery and the hospital stay that follows.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Getting off the island when treatment has to continue

Heat collapse on the run leg can mean care the island cannot finish on its own. Assistance and repatriation are covered at actual cost, from the ambulance at the roadside to the flight that takes you home, wherever you live.

icon Option compétition

Licensed racing, from this start line to next season

Many athletes use the Triath'LAM to open their year, then keep racing for months. The Competition option covers official racing, meaning the sprint and standard events here plus every other race you pin a number on during the season.

icon Capital invalidité

Up to €200,000 if the damage is permanent

A collision with a car on the bike leg can leave lasting damage to a knee, a hip or a spine. The permanent disability capital pays up to €200,000, money that funds rehabilitation, home adaptation and the years that follow.

Heat, humidity and the mistakes visiting athletes make

Athletes fly in from a European winter and race in air that never cools down. The sea is too warm to bring body temperature back, so the swim ends with a body already overheating. Then comes open road in full sun, then a run on tarmac that radiates heat upwards. Dehydration and heat exhaustion end more races here than mechanical trouble.

Triathlon is a year-round habit, not a single morning in February. Long rides on public roads, pool sessions, evening runs in the dark, most accidents happen in training rather than on race day. An annual triathlon insurance policy covers both, in France, in the Caribbean and abroad, whatever country you live in.

FAQ

Before you enter the Triath'LAM

No. A licence rarely pays the full medical bill after a serious accident. AxeoSport personal accident cover sits alongside it and pays for treatment, hospital care and repatriation when something goes wrong.

The Triath'LAM is a February race, run during the dry season, and the next edition is to be confirmed. Watch the organisers announcement, since cover can be bought as soon as your entry is accepted.

Yes. The sea leg is part of the race and part of the cover. A cut on coral, a blackout in warm water, a collision with another swimmer, medical costs and assistance apply from the moment of the accident.

No. This is personal accident insurance, not cancellation insurance. Entry fees and travel costs are never refunded. What we cover is the bodily injury side, meaning treatment, repatriation and lasting consequences.

Price depends on how long you want cover for, which distance you race and whether you add the Competition option. The online quote gives you the exact figure in a couple of minutes.
