Why insure your torball practice?

Torball is practised with the French Disability Sports Federation (FFH), on the IPC circuit and up to the Paralympic Games. Impacts from the sound ball and bruises from defensive dives are part of the game, in training as in matches. Standard contracts poorly cover the specific needs of para sport, and care costs add up quickly after an accident.

Against these risks, an insurance built for torball truly protects you: medical costs, evacuation, rehabilitation follow-up and a disability benefit are covered. All that is left is to give your best.

Yes. Recreational and competitive torball enjoy identical guarantees; a parent or legal guardian can also insure a minor in a few clicks.

If you are injured during torball training or a competition, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
