Why insure your sport kite practice?

Stunt kite flying puts heavy strain on the shoulders and wrists during fast tricks and spins. A sudden gust can pull the pilot off balance or drag them several metres, causing sprains and fractures. Lines under high tension also cause burns and deep cuts to the hands. Standard club membership and general contracts cover these accidents poorly, and medical costs add up fast...

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical costs, transport, rehabilitation and disability are covered according to your plan, on the beach as in competition. You can then chain your tricks with a free mind.

In case of injury while kite flying, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
