Why insure your show jumping practice?

Show jumping puts horse and rider through repeated jumps, sometimes unbalanced landings and quick changes of stride around the course. A fall at a fence or a sudden refusal can cause fractures, concussion or back trauma. Standard licences and classic contracts cover these accidents poorly, and medical costs climb quickly after a serious injury.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical costs, transport, rehabilitation and disability are covered depending on your guarantees, during training as in competition. You can clear every fence with a free mind.

No. The cover is open to licensed riders and to leisure riders alike. In an affiliated club or a private yard, your personal accident insurance for show jumping follows you across every training and round.

In case of injury while show jumping, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
