Eight hours of racing, three sports, one cover that holds to the line

icon Frais médicaux

A fatigue crash after six hours in the saddle, €150,000 of care

On long course, attention drops as the hours add up, and a tired fall at cruising speed does real damage. Your medical costs are covered up to €150,000, from the emergency room through surgery and however long you stay in hospital.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Far from the finish arch, evacuation paid at actual cost

The bike loop pulls away from the city into thinly served areas, where stopping with an injury leaves you waiting. Assistance and repatriation are covered at actual cost, from the pick-up at the roadside to the journey back to your own home.

icon Option compétition

Timed, ranked, and insured for the whole year

Whether you take on the full or the middle distance, you race against the clock with published results, which is what many general policies set aside. The Competition option insures that racing here and at every other start you make this season.

icon Capital invalidité

Disability capital up to €200,000 after a serious impact

A bad crash on the bike leg can leave permanent joint or nerve damage and put a return to work in doubt. The permanent disability capital reaches €200,000 and gives you room to reorganise your life rather than rush it.

Why does a July long course break so many athletes?

Visitors expecting a cool northern summer get caught out. Across eight hours or more, hydration slips behind, the stomach shuts down and pacing falls apart. Mistakes follow from that tiredness: a wheel misjudged inside a group, a foot landing badly on a speed bump, a sugar crash in the middle of the marathon.

Getting to a long-course start line means hundreds of training hours, usually alone and often far from home. A crash on a Sunday ride is far more likely than one on race day. With year-round long-distance triathlon insurance, the build-up is covered just as thoroughly as the event.

FAQ

Five questions from Gdańsk entrants

No. The policy does not depend on your finishing time. Whether your day takes eight hours or fourteen, an accident during the race is handled the same way, cut-offs and course closures included.

No. The same policy covers both formats offered at Gdańsk. Only the length of cover and the Competition option change what you hold, depending on what you select when you request your quote.

Assistance deals directly with the hospital and your medical costs are covered up to €150,000. You are not left funding an admission or an operation yourself and claiming it back weeks later.

No. It is personal accident insurance, not cancellation insurance. Neither the entry nor the travel comes back to you. What it guarantees is the bodily consequences of an accident.

It comes down to the plan, the period you cover and the options you keep. The online quote works out your price in a few clicks and lets you compare calmly before taking anything out.
