Why insure your yoga practice?

Yoga looks gentle, but an overstretched posture quickly turns into a muscle strain, lower back pain or a knee injury, and inversions expose the neck and shoulders. Standard contracts often treat this practice as a simple hobby, and osteopathy or rehabilitation costs add up quickly.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical expenses, transport, rehabilitation and disability are covered according to your guarantees, in group classes as on retreat. You can then roll out your mat with a free mind.

If you are injured during a yoga class, workshop or retreat, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
