Late August heat, short formats, cover that keeps pace

First crash on a town-circuit corner, €150,000 of care

Short-course racing is quick and crowded, and lines cross badly in the corners of a town circuit. A shoulder hitting the road at thirty kilometres an hour means a plate, a pin and a few nights in hospital. Your medical costs are covered up to €150,000, surgery included.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Moved to the right hospital, then taken home

A serious injury is not always treated at the nearest hospital, and nobody drives themselves home after an operation. Assistance and repatriation are covered at actual cost, from the evacuation itself to the door of wherever you live.

icon Option compétition

Your first official number, cover for the season

Plenty of starters meet transition areas, timing chips and bike racking for the first time here. The Competition option covers racing under official rules, on this short format and on everything you add later, from a winter duathlon to a long-distance race.

icon Capital invalidité

Knee that never feels safe again, up to €200,000

A fall from the bike or a bad twist in the closing kilometres can leave a knee that gives way, and standing jobs rarely forgive that. The permanent disability benefit reaches €200,000, set by the degree of impairment recorded once recovery is complete.

Short does not mean safe on a flat course

A sprint or olympic distance sounds harmless, which is exactly the trap. Swimmers go off too hard, the flat bike leg never forces anyone to slow down, and the late-August heat does the rest. First triathlons also produce most of the cornering crashes, simply because riding close to other bikes is new.

One short race usually leads to the next. Club rides, training camps and the longer events you enter next year stretch your exposure far beyond this single morning. A personal triathlon insurance policy covers swim, bike and run all year, in training as much as in racing, at home and abroad.

FAQ

Five answers before your first short-course start

Yes. The policy makes no distinction between a first-timer and an experienced competitor. Medical costs, assistance and the disability benefit work the same way on an S distance as on a long one.

No. The Allier lake is a supervised venue, and bodily injury during the swim leg is covered there, including the case where the water safety team has to pull you out.

No. This is not cancellation insurance. It reimburses neither your entry, nor your accommodation, nor your travel. It covers the bodily consequences of an accident instead.

Cover follows your season. With the Competition option, official races are covered at any distance, in France or abroad, without a fresh subscription for every new start list.

The price depends on the formula and the length of cover you choose, a single race or a whole year. The AxeoSport online quote shows the exact figure before you sign up.
