Rounds through the rainy season, cover that never pauses

icon Frais médicaux

Hot tendons, greasy tarmac, €150,000 of care

Short course means flat out from the first stroke, and a June squall soaks hot asphalt in minutes. A slide out of transition, or an Achilles that goes in the closing round, runs up bills fast. Medical costs are covered up to €150,000.

icon Transport et rapatriement

When the only way out is the coast road

Port-Louis sits away from the island's larger hospitals, and a round can be held with no advanced medical backup close at hand. Assistance and repatriation are paid at actual cost, from the race site back to where you live.

icon Option compétition

Every round, and the season around them

A series is scored across several meetings, with cumulative standings and cumulative fatigue. The Competition option guarantees official racing at each round and across the rest of your year, including the races you travel to outside the Caribbean.

icon Capital invalidité

The crash that ends a season, and €200,000

Short-course fields stay bunched, and one rider losing the front wheel on a wet apex takes others down with them. When the damage turns out to be permanent, it is your working life that changes. The permanent disability capital runs to €200,000.

Stacking rounds in June wears a body down faster

June opens the wet season. The air sits heavy, rain arrives in minutes and the road turns slick exactly where the pack regroups. Recovery between rounds is short, sleep is poor, and it is usually the third start that breaks something: a knee, a shoulder, an ankle rolled on wet road paint.

The series ends and training restarts the next morning. Sea swims, turbo sessions in the heat, hill repeats inland: risk does not sit only on race numbers. Annual triathlon insurance covers training as well as competition, wherever you swim, ride and run, and whatever country you live in.

FAQ

Questions from athletes on the Caribbean series

No. Annual cover holds across the whole series and your other race numbers that year, with nothing to redo between rounds. Covering one single event is also possible if you prefer.

No. Weather makes no difference to the cover. Going down on a wet road mid-round is a corporal accident exactly like a dry-weather crash, and the medical costs are taken care of.

This is individual accident insurance, not cancellation insurance. It reimburses neither your entry nor your travel when a round is dropped. What it answers for is the bodily consequences of an accident.

Yes. All three disciplines are covered, open-water swimming along the coast included, on race morning and during the preparation sessions you put in before a round.

That depends on the formula and the length of cover, race by race or for the year. The AxeoSport online quote works out your figure in minutes, with no commitment.
