Between swim and run, who pays for the injury?

icon Frais médicaux

Cut hands and feet on volcanic rock, treatment covered

Every water exit is made on sharp, slippery footing with arms already heavy. A hand that slides or a foot that lands badly opens a wound that needs cleaning fast in this climate. Medical costs are covered up to €150,000, stitches and follow-up appointments included.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Stranded on a shoreline with no road, assistance reaches you

Parts of the route cannot be reached by vehicle and are awkward on foot, and March swell can close an exit that was open an hour earlier. Assistance arranges evacuation and repatriation at real cost, from wherever you are stuck to your own home.

icon Option compétition

Timed over 17 km, your swimrun season covered too

Racing for a result means shorter transitions, entries taken without scouting and running soaked across polished slabs. The Competition option covers official racing, at the SwimRun Show and across the other events on your calendar.

icon Capital invalidité

Losing the use of a shoulder, up to €200,000

A fall on rock or a bad entry into the water can damage a shoulder or an ankle for good, and this discipline is unforgiving towards fragile joints. The permanent disability capital reaches €200,000 to pay for whatever comes next.

Seventeen kilometres of swimrun ask more than a trail race

The alternation does the damage. You leave the water with a high heart rate and cold legs, set off running on wet ground, then dive back in out of breath. Each transition multiplies the chances of slipping, clipping a rock or misjudging the swell, and in March the warm water hides how tired you really are until it arrives all at once.

Training for this means open-water swims at dawn, often well away from patrolled beaches, plus runs that string together sand, rock and footpath. Those sessions carry as much risk as race day itself. Year-round swimrun insurance covers your preparation exactly as it covers the bib, in France and abroad.

FAQ

Answers for first-time swimrunners

Yes. Swims and runs fall under one guarantee, from your first step into the water to the finish, whether you entered the 17 km or the shorter 11 km course.

Assistance comes from the point of the accident, including places only reachable on foot or by boat, then covers your journey home at real cost, with no distance limit on the repatriation.

No. This is personal accident insurance, not cancellation insurance. Neither the entry nor the travel is reimbursed. It responds to the bodily consequences of an accident and the care they require.

Yes. Training counts exactly as the race does, all year, in open water and on the trails. The February sessions you use to get ready sit under the same cover as March itself.

The price follows the guarantees you keep and the period you want to be covered for. The online quote shows your figure within minutes, before any decision and with nothing committed.
