Why is self-defence insurance essential?

Self-defence brings together realistic techniques: strikes, releases from grabs and chokes, ground defence and drills against weapon attacks. Trained at intensity and against resistance, this practice exposes the joints and the whole body, and a release gone wrong or a hard drill causes sprains, dislocations, contusions and fractures. Even without competition, intensive practice takes its toll. A federation licence and standard contracts cover these accidents poorly, and the costs of care and rehabilitation add up.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical costs, care, rehabilitation and disability are covered according to your guarantees, at the club and at seminars. You can progress with a free mind.

If you are injured in training, at a seminar or on a course, follow these steps.

1. Contact assistance first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance line on your card: its prior agreement is required before any hospitalisation, procedure, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow its instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its agreement before incurring costs; it directs you to the most suitable facility and organises your care.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions and invoices are essential to process your claim.

Self-defence is a broad family of practices, while krav maga is one specific system with its own methods. Whatever your discipline, we cover self-defence as well as krav maga and ju-jitsu.
