Rain, night chill and long stretches of tarmac, cover that keeps pace

icon Frais médicaux

Slip on wet tarmac, medical care up to €150,000

On Megamarsch the danger lies mostly in repetition: hours on roads and paths, a wet surface, a kerb missed in the dark. Sprain, broken wrist, cuts from the fall: your medical expenses are covered up to €150,000, including treatment, hospital stays and surgery.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Evacuation from the route, in Germany or Austria alike

Events take place in two countries and many walkers travel a long way to take part. If an accident means you cannot go on, assistance and repatriation at actual cost arrange evacuation from where it happened and then your journey home, whatever your country of residence.

icon Option compétition

Official race coming up? The Competition option covers the season

A 50 km in 12 hours is often a stepping stone to other challenges. If your season mixes these long walks with official competitions, road running, trail or Nordic walking, the Competition option covers you on every event and across the whole season, in France and abroad.

icon Capital invalidité

Permanent disability after a night-time fall, up to €200,000

After twenty hours on your feet, balance fades and a fall can be a heavy one, especially downhill or at the edge of a road. If permanent disability is recognised, the disability lump sum can reach €200,000, paid according to the disability rate that is set.

Twelve hours for 50 km, twenty-four for 100, where it gets hard

The time limits mean averaging just over 4 km/h, breaks included, and plenty of people start too fast. Feet swell, socks rub, and the night chills tired bodies. Towards the end, attention fades: that is when people trip, miss a step or go down on hard ground, often within sight of the finish.

A 100 km walk takes months of long outings to prepare, often alone and in all weathers. Accidents happen in training too, far from any aid station. Our walking insurance stays with you all year, on training walks and on event day, at home or abroad, whatever your country of residence.

FAQ

Before signing up for 24 hours on foot, your questions

Yes. The guarantees do not depend on distance. Whether you aim for 50 km in 12 hours or 100 km in 24, you get the same medical cover, the same assistance and the same disability lump sum.

No. This policy is not cancellation insurance, so it does not refund your entry, travel or accommodation. It steps in when a bodily injury happens, during your preparation as well as on event day.

No. You are covered in France and abroad, whatever your country of residence. An event in Austria or in Germany carries the same guarantees, with repatriation all the way back to your home.

Because duration drives the risk. Twenty-four hours on your feet, including a night, add up to plenty of chances to fall. A sprain or a fracture far from home can be expensive in treatment and transport, especially abroad.

The online quote shows it in a few minutes. The amount depends on how long you need cover and which options you choose, including the Competition option. Do it when you register so your preparation is covered too.
