Before practice week, every Manx newcomer should sort this out

icon Frais médicaux

Walls, kerbs and telegraph poles, care up to €150,000

These are everyday roads for most of the year, so a small mistake sends a rider into stone, kerb or lamppost, often with multiple fractures. Medical costs are covered up to €150,000, including hospital treatment and surgery after a bodily injury.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Treated in Douglas, then the crossing home

A rider hurt out on the mountain section has to be evacuated, treated on the island and then somehow get home across the sea with a leg in plaster. Assistance and repatriation are paid at actual cost, all the way to your door, wherever you live.

icon Option compétition

Practice, qualifying and race week, with the Competition option

The TT and the Manx Grand Prix are official competitions with licences and qualifying laps. The Competition option covers you racing on the island and at the other road and circuit events of your season, while training days off the island stay covered too.

icon Capital invalidité

Life-changing injuries on the road, a lump sum up to €200,000

At road-racing speeds between walls, a crash often leaves lasting damage to the spine, legs or pelvis. The permanent disability benefit pays up to €200,000 depending on the assessed rate, helping you face a daily and working life that has changed.

On the Mountain, the weather turns between two bends

The course climbs from the coast onto the slopes of Snaefell, where mist and crosswinds can catch riders out while Douglas stays dry. Manx newcomers often push too hard on a lap of more than 200 corners that nobody memorises in a week. Bumps, jumps and tiredness after a long practice evening do the rest.

Road racers train all year, on track days, short circuits and other road events in Ireland and beyond. Our motorcycle racing insurance is personal accident cover that follows you to each of them, at home or abroad, and the Competition option extends it to every official race on your calendar.

FAQ

Riders' questions before the first Mountain Course lap

Yes. Practice and qualifying sessions are part of the event. With the Competition option they are covered just like the races, and your training outside competition stays covered all year.

Yes. AxeoSport personal accident insurance works whatever your country of residence. Treatment on the island and your journey home are covered on the same terms as for any other rider.

No. This is not cancellation insurance. It refunds neither your entry nor your crossing, but it covers the consequences of a bodily injury, before or during the race.

After treatment, a rider with a broken leg cannot simply catch the ferry or a flight alone. Assistance organises and pays for the journey home at actual cost, so you are not stuck on the island for weeks.

The price depends on your profile, your discipline and whether you add the Competition option. Our online quote shows the exact figure in a few minutes, with no commitment.
