A shoulder gone on the SkiErg, €150,000 of care

The opening SkiErg asks a lot of cold shoulders, and the rower finishes the job on a back that has already worked. A dislocation or an acute tendon injury means hospital, scans and weeks of rehab. Your medical costs are covered up to €150,000.

icon Transport et rapatriement

A flight home that no longer works on your own

Flying in for one morning of racing is normal here. With a knee immobilised, a cheap return seat solves nothing and you need help getting out of the country. Assistance and repatriation are covered at actual cost, all the way to your own address.

A first official bib, properly covered in competition

For many entrants, Dublin is the first timed race in years, in Open or in doubles. Standard policies often stop at the word competition. The Competition option covers this race and your whole season, including the box sessions behind it.

icon Capital invalidité

Lasting damage from one badly placed load: up to €200,000

Farmers carry handles slip when hands are soaked, and a sandbag set down badly lands on a foot. Some fractures and nerve injuries leave permanent limitation. A permanent disability payout of up to €200,000 offsets income you can no longer earn.

Where does a first HYROX catch people out?

The contrast does real damage. Outside the air is damp and cool, inside the hall is hot, and warm-ups drain away while you wait for your wave. Beginners push the first runs, meet the sled pull with wrecked forearms, then grind through wall balls at the end. That is when backs lock and hands let go of a load.

A Dublin bib means months of gym work beforehand. Heavy sets, repeated jumping and timed circuits cause most injuries long before race morning. Our CrossFit insurance stays in place all year, in the box and in competition, in Ireland, at home and anywhere else you sign up.

FAQ

Questions from first-time HYROX entrants

Yes. Beginners get hurt late in the race, when technique disappears. The contract pays for treatment, hospital care and getting home, which is exactly where your entry fee stops.

Yes. It applies whatever country you live in and whatever country you race in. Treatment paid on the spot, hospital admission and transport home all fall inside the stated limits.

Every participant takes out their own contract, whatever the category. A doubles team is two separate policies, and each athlete keeps full cover even if their partner pulls out mid-race.

No. This is individual accident insurance, not cancellation insurance, so the bib, the flight and the hotel stay your cost. What it covers is treatment, repatriation and permanent injury.

The price moves with the formula, the length of cover and whether the Competition option is added. The AxeoSport online quote shows your figure in a few minutes, with no commitment.
