Personal accident insurance for hunter riding

Medical expenses

Up to €150,000 for your medical expenses: hospitalisation, surgery, everyday care and rehabilitation. Fall at a fence, fractured collarbone, concussion or sprain: hunter riding injuries are covered, from the first medical appointment to your return to the saddle.

Transport and repatriation

Medical transport and repatriation covered at actual cost, wherever you practise around the world. Fall in an outdoor arena or at a show far from home: we organise your transport to the most suitable facility and then your journey home, without you advancing the costs.

Competition option

A dedicated competition option, essential as soon as you enter an event. Club classes, hunter equitation, national circuits and championships are covered, whatever your level, with the same guarantees as in training and no extra paperwork.

Disability benefit

Up to €200,000 paid in the event of permanent disability. If an accident leaves lasting after-effects, this capital helps you adapt your daily life, your home or your professional activity. A long-term protection, for you and for your loved ones.

Why is hunter riding insurance essential?

Hunter rewards style, regularity and a smooth round, but the obstacles are real and the falls too. A refusal, a bad stride or a slip on approach can throw the rider onto the fence or the ground, with a horse of half a tonne close by. Fractured collarbones, sprains, back injuries and concussions are part of the discipline. Yet a federation licence or a club membership does not always cover the real costs, especially in case of surgery or a long rehabilitation.

A personal accident insurance takes over: it complements your licence, reimburses the expenses left at your charge and follows you in England as abroad, in training as in competition. You can keep progressing, riding every round and living your passion with a free mind, knowing the unexpected is covered.

In hunter, the judge rewards style, regularity and the quality of the round; in show jumping, the clock and the faults decide. The risks of falling are the same, and both disciplines are covered. Discover our plans.

No, it complements your licence. A federation licence is still required to train in affiliated clubs and enter official competitions. Our cover strengthens your protection with higher limits on medical expenses, repatriation and disability.

Our insurance covers the rider, not the horse or the gear. Liability is not included either: it falls under your licence or home insurance. For your saddle and equipment when travelling, the baggage option can complete your cover.

If you are injured during training, a lesson or a competition, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
