Why insure your eventing practice?

Eventing is the most demanding equestrian discipline: fixed cross-country fences that do not fall, galloping over varied terrain and the dreaded rotational fall where the horse comes over the rider. Licences and standard contracts cover these accidents poorly, and medical or evacuation costs climb very quickly after a fall on the course.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation and disability are covered according to your guarantees, in training as at events. You can then attack every course with a free mind.

If you are injured during eventing training or a competition, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
