Why insurance for the EDBF European Nations?

The flat water of an Olympic basin gives a false sense of safety. Dragon boat racing demands explosive starts at very high cadence, twenty bodies synchronised in a narrow hull, and injuries come less from falling than from repetition: a locked back, a painful shoulder, an inflamed wrist after several heats in the same day. The EDBF European Nations: what you need to know

Held every two years by the European dragon boat federation, these nations championships reach their sixteenth edition in 2026 on the Olympic regatta course of Munich-Oberschleissheim. National teams are made up of amateur paddlers selected through their clubs, across every age category, which produces a very broad field over five days of racing.

  • Location: Munich-Oberschleissheim, Olympic regatta course, Germany
  • Next edition: July, every two years, next edition from 8 to 12 July 2026
  • Format: 200 m, 500 m and 2,000 m, national teams in all age categories
  • Participants: around 1,500 to 2,500 paddlers
  • Conditions: straight artificial course, flat water with no current, Bavarian summer heat

Yes. Cover is worldwide and applies on competition days as well as during travel and your stay on site.
