Champ Car (CART then Champ Car World Series, 1979-2008) and Indy Racing League (IRL, founded 1996) co-existed for 12 years in competition. Merged in 2008 as IndyCar Series. Our cover handles historic Champ Car and current IndyCar separately per equipment.
