Bay, mountain passes, seafront finish: cover for every part of it

Off the road on a hot descent, €150,000 of treatment

Tramuntana descents come fast, on tarmac still warm in October, past tight bends and dry stone walls. Leaving the road at that speed means hospital, not a roadside repair. Your medical costs are guaranteed up to €150,000, emergency care and surgery included.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Stranded between two mountain villages, evacuated at actual cost

Help takes time to reach a narrow road high above the coast, and a stretcher cannot always get close. Assistance handles evacuation and repatriation at actual cost, from the spot where you went down to your own front door, wherever you live.

Your Challenge number and the season that led to it

An end-of-season middle distance is built from spring onwards, and it is raced with official rankings. The Competition option insures that kind of racing, both here and across your whole year, including warm-weather training camps.

icon Capital invalidité

Permanent limits after one bad descent: up to €200,000

A fall on a descent can leave a shoulder that never regains range or a hand that no longer grips the bars properly. The permanent disability capital goes up to €200,000, softening the financial blow of a lasting incapacity.

October heat and mountain roads sort the field at Peguera

The end of the season fools people here. The sea is warm, the sun still strong, and plenty of athletes go out hard on a course that waits for the mountains to bite. Dehydration builds on the bike, judgement fades on the descents, and cramp arrives on a run held through the warmest hours of the afternoon.

Long-course triathlon fills a whole year: camps in the sun, five-hour rides, winter swim sets before work. That is where most injuries actually happen, with no number on the bars. Our long-distance triathlon insurance stays with you across the season, at home and on every trip abroad.

FAQ

Five answers before you fly out to Peguera

Yes. The policy applies across the whole race, uphill and downhill alike. Long descents are where most crashes happen, and a fracture there is handled exactly as one on the flat would be.

Yes, as long as it is a bodily accident recorded during the activity. Severe dehydration, heat collapse or a crash caused by one is treated under the medical costs cover, including hospital admission.

You call the assistance number, which answers at any hour. Evacuation from the place of the accident, transport to hospital and, if your condition requires it, the journey home are covered at actual cost.

No. This is not cancellation insurance, so the entry and the flights stay your expense. What it does cover is the treatment for your injury and everything that follows from it.

That depends on the period you choose, the plan and the options, the Competition option included. The online quote gives you the exact figure in a few minutes, before you sign anything.
