Why insure your camel racing practice?

Camel racing puts the rider two metres above the ground on an animal launched at 60 km/h: swaying gallops, packed starts and falls onto hard sand far from any hospital. Standard contracts cover this exotic discipline poorly, and evacuation and care costs climb very quickly abroad.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical expenses, evacuation, repatriation and disability are covered according to your guarantees, at local festivals as at international meetings. You can then race every track with a free mind.

Yes. Our plans cover training and official races organised by camel racing bodies. The competition option reinforces your capital for large-field meetings, where speed and crowding raise the risk.

Yes, cover applies when you travel abroad for a race or a training stint. Medical costs incurred on site are handled and medical repatriation is arranged if your condition requires it, even from a remote track.

No, cover applies to any fall during racing. Because a camel seats you much higher than a horse, the impact can be severe, so we advise a solid disability capital and medical-expenses ceiling.

No. The cover is open to licensed riders and to those learning the sport. Whether you ride in a stable or a training track, your personal accident insurance for camel racing follows you across every session and race.

If you are injured during a camel race or training, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
