Promenade, clifftops and a Channel breeze, cover for every distance

icon Frais médicaux

Sea spray, sand and a slippery promenade

Along the seafront, spray and wind-blown sand make the promenade slick in places. A slip, a rolled ankle or a wrist broken in the fall can happen in a single stride. Medical costs up to €150,000 cover emergency care, hospital stays and surgery.

icon Transport et rapatriement

Far from home on the south coast

Many runners travel a long way for a weekend by the sea. If an accident keeps you in hospital far from where you live, assistance and repatriation are covered at actual cost, from medical transport right through to your journey home.

icon Option compétition

Four timed distances, one Competition option

From the 5K to the marathon, every race at the festival is chip-timed and ranked. The Competition option covers you on whichever distance you enter, then across every competition in your season, so you don't need fresh cover for each race number.

icon Capital invalidité

Permanent injury from a fall on concrete? Up to €200,000

A heavy fall on the promenade's concrete can leave a wrist, a hip or a shoulder damaged for good. If an accident leaves you permanently disabled, a capital of up to €200,000 helps make up for lost independence or income.

Headwinds, short climbs and a busy start, the seaside traps

On the promenade, the sea breeze often blows straight into runners' faces for part of the course, and people burn out trying to hold their pace. The climbs away from the seafront break the rhythm. In the 5K and 10K, plenty of beginners start too fast among experienced club runners, which leads to trips and falls early on.

The festival draws whole families and a lot of first-time racers who have trained for a few months on pavements, paths or treadmills. Injuries often happen in training, well before race weekend. Our marathon insurance covers the build-up as well as the race, at every distance, in the UK and abroad, wherever you live.

FAQ

Spray, distances, entries: your festival questions answered

Yes. Cover follows you, not the event. If you run two races over the weekend, you are protected in both, with the Competition option covering all your official races for the season.

Yes. Your country of residence makes no difference. You are covered during the festival and in training, with repatriation to your home if an accident makes it necessary.

No. AxeoSport is not cancellation insurance, so neither your entry nor your accommodation is refunded if the event is called off or you pull out. The policy covers bodily accidents, not costs you have paid.

Emergency care, hospital treatment and any surgery are covered up to €150,000, along with assistance and repatriation at actual cost. If the fall leaves permanent after-effects, the disability capital can then come into play.

The price depends on your profile and the benefits you select. Our online quote shows the exact figure in a few clicks, with no commitment on your part.
