Why insure your blind football practice?

Blind football is practised with the French Disability Sports Federation (FFH), on the IPC circuit and up to the Paralympic Games. Falls, bruises and contact fractures are part of the game, in training as in matches. Standard contracts poorly cover the specific needs of para sport, and care costs add up quickly after an accident.

Cover adapted to blind football spares you these bad surprises: care, transport and rehabilitation are covered, plus a lump sum in the event of lasting disability. You practise, it watches over you.

If you are injured during blind football training or a competition, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
