No, it complements your licence. A federation licence is still required to train in affiliated clubs and enter official competitions. Our cover strengthens your protection with higher limits on medical expenses, repatriation and disability.

Our insurance covers the pilot, not the aircraft. Liability and hull cover fall under the aircraft owner or the club. Our contract protects the person: medical expenses, repatriation and disability.

If you are injured during training, a flight or a contest, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical expense, call the assistance number shown on your card. Its prior approval is required before any hospitalisation, surgery, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow the assistance instructions. Except in a life-threatening emergency, wait for its approval before incurring costs. It will direct you to the most suitable facility and organise your care according to your cover. Expenses incurred without prior approval cannot be reimbursed.

3. Keep all your supporting documents. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions, test results and invoices: they are essential to process your claim.
