Why is Chain-Bike insurance essential?

The Chain-Bike, a modified freestyle BMX inspired by the chopper, is ridden at commercial demos, events and parks. Aerial tricks, rotations and landings on an unusual frame multiply the risk of falls, with frequent fractures and trauma. Standard licences and contracts cover these accidents poorly, and treatment and rehabilitation costs pile up.

A dedicated personal accident insurance takes over: medical costs, care, rehabilitation and disability are covered according to your plan, at demos as in freestyle competition. You can then send your tricks with a free mind.

If you are injured during training, a demo or a contest, follow these steps.

1. Contact the assistance service first. Before any medical spending, call the assistance line shown on your card: its prior agreement is required before any hospitalisation, procedure, medical transport or repatriation.

2. Follow its instructions. Unless there is a life-threatening emergency, wait for its go-ahead before incurring costs; it directs you to the most suitable facility and arranges your care.

3. Keep every supporting document. Initial medical certificate, reports, prescriptions and invoices are essential to process your claim.

Chain-bike is a modified freestyle BMX for tricks and demos, while freeride MTB is about big mountain jumps and lines. For that discipline, see our freeride MTB insurance.
